Welcome to the Old School Hustle (OSH) Basketball Academy Summer Camp 2025.
June 16- June 20, 2025, 9 A.M. - 2 P.M. daily.
For 5th-9th grade ALL SKILL LEVELS
This intensive 5-day program is strategically designed to capitalize on the critical off-season period, a pivotal phase for comprehensive athletic development. For competitive and recreational basketball players, the off-season provides a unique opportunity for substantial growth, both within the sport and beyond.
OSH Basketball Academy’s 12-month periodized training program is structured around four key pillars, aligned with the natural rhythm of the basketball season. This Summer Camp specifically focuses on Off-Season Strength & Conditioning and Game IQ development, both essential for long-term athlete success. Recognizing the unique developmental stage of our youth athletes, we address the physiological and psychological changes they undergo.
Our Four Pillars of Periodized Training:
Off-Season: A comprehensive strength and conditioning program designed to build and restore general strength, mobility, and agility, minimizing injury risk and maximizing athlete longevity.
Pre-Season: Focused skills and Game IQ development.
In-Season: Skills and Game IQ retention and refinement.
Post-Season: A targeted pre-habilitation and rehabilitation program to facilitate optimal recovery from competitive play.
Beyond physical exertion, our athletes experience mental fatigue. This Camp acknowledges the complex personal, social, and athletic transitions they navigate, providing a supportive environment for recovery and development. Our Summer Camp serves as a foundational platform for establishing enduring habits, fostering education, and enhancing practice within youth basketball.
Camp commences daily at 8:30 AM with a dynamic warm-up. Each day features a structured program encompassing Basketball Skills Assessments, Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition Education and Lunch, Game IQ Defensive/Offensive Skills Development, and an After-Action Review. The strategic progression from defensive to offensive concepts reflects a deliberate pedagogical approach.
